This is a fascinating painting on canvas board from 1955 by R. Van Holland. At a quick glance the work look like a pure abstract geometric painting, but looking closer it appear to be set in space, with a sun or a galaxy in the background, and three planets revolving around it.
Painting shows wear and scuffs in the paintings consistent with age.
